Popular social network Likee as a legal access to child pornography

The story of sexualization of 8-year-old Milana, the little girl whose mother directed her «adult» life with kisses, hugs and spending time in the same bed with a 13-year-old boy, drew attention to the app, in which Milana gained 6 million subscribers.

Likee is a social network that was created in 2017 in Singapore and was aimed to be a place for distribution of short entertaining videos. The app terms of service says that it supports «positive content», but users report cases of pedophilia, cruelty to animals, presence of erotic videos or images of naked people distributed through Likee. Also, the service is intended for users over 13, but the main part of the audience is children from 5 to 12 years old. Judging by the number of likes for 2020, the most popular videos are of young girls from Russia.

Likee doesn’t provide official statistics, but you can see that almost all that the recommendations offer is content of girls under 14. The videos, as on March 2021, (for descending) contained:

1 — dances with erotic movement — elements of twerk and/or striptease;

2 — emphasis on the buttocks or breasts and touches of them, flexibility of the body;

3 — imitation of a relationship with a boy of about the same age;

4 — pro-eating disorders, anorexia propaganda.

Almost all the girls wore make-up and clothes — tops or very short shorts that resembled underwear — that exposed their bodies and emphasized their curves. All this was accompanied by dreadful music, most of which was from Russia and contained words like «Money, mom is big, bitches in the deed», «right, left, up, down, tits, pussy and striptease», «baby, you interest me only when you are without clothes», etc. The layer of musical culture that teenagers use in their videos is made up of Russian rappers such as Morgenstern, Instasamka, Slava Marlowe, Fogel, Klava Koka, Habib, Big Baby Tape and an infinite number of others.

Special attention needs to be paid to a Kyivan blogger Katya Beib — beib1. (Likee). Likee immediately put her twerk dances in the recommendations. The girl has almost 7 million followers on Likee and 185 thousand on Instagram, where she is signed as kate_beib3363. Katya likes to use makeup, shake her «booty», twerk in shopping malls, perform challenges and make videos with her friends. Katya is 12 years old. In one video, made after the audience asked if her mom approves of her behavior, her mom cheerfully raises her thumbs up.

What is the reason for such behavior of parents? Because Katya’s mother is not the only one who reacts like that. A lot of content of children’s adult lives is directed by their parents. But the motivation is obvious: money and own self-realization. The motivation that mother of 8-year-old Milana has.

Of course, the behavior of young bloggers is not ignored, so the number of subscribers, likes and views is monetized. Once you’ve become a more well-known user, advertisers can order ads from you that will be monetized at the beginning, middle, or end of your video. Likee also organizes competitions with a certain subject matter. The winner receives funds from the application, their price starts from $25. The application runs a digital currency called «beans» or «diamonds». They can be bought for real money or converted into it. You receive it for participating in competitions, performing challenges and for carrying out live broadcasts where they can be donated by real people. You can withdraw money to a bank card, QiWi wallet or Google Wallet. 200 beans = 1 diamond = $1.

Returning to little «bloggers» whose parents sell their «adult» lives. According to blogger Katya Babe’s Instagram page, she is friends with such likers as Nikita Chebanov — nikitachebanov_, Mila Makhanets — milamaxanets (a girl whose mother directed her adult life with kisses, untied poses and sleeping in the same bed with her 13-year-old «boyfriend» etc), Pasha Pel — pasha_pai, (said 13-year-old «boyfriend» of Milana), Miss Nicole — nicolodessa, Anatoliy Belous — belousss1, Dana Taranova — dana_taranova, Snezhana Snezhok — snezhana_snezhokk and others. All of them have more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and more than a million followers on Likee. Almost all of them are from 10 to 14 years old. Their names probably won’t tell you anything, but they are wildly popular
among children of their age and set trends.

The phenomenon of imitation of same-sex relations and cross-dressing has also become popular among these children.

Superficial immersion is enough to understand that children’s apps create completely non-childish content: twerking, striptease, imitation of the way of life professed in the lyrics of Russian rappers, the desire to appear older in the eyes of peers through things that inherent in mature people. Children don’t have a transition period from a child to an adolescent and to an adult.
They immediately acquire «adulthood» through artificial stage elements and
images. Other children, consuming such content every day, begin to take it all as the norm. Parents who’s eyes are clouded by money try to dress their child as vulgarly as possible and make them perform a more erotic dance than their competitors’. Such a circular guarantee creates greenhouse conditions for pedophiles and various perverts, who mimic the children’s world of the Internet under the guise of friends or well-wishers, because children are willing to communicate with everyone. Such content satisfies their lustful perverse desires and provides access to the distorted child sex world 24 hours a day.
